Right Here. Right Now.

Struggling to manage my home/work/school life. It's super stressful right now but I know it'll be worth it in the end.

Excited beyond words that Grey's season premiere is on tonight. Even if I have to DVR it cause I'll be at work.

Listening to Dan Auerbach's 'Keep It Hid'. It's actually on repeat.

Sewing a boatload of key fobs for a wholesale order. Yay, sales!

Counting down the days to The Color Run in Memphis. A bunch of girls and I are going from work and I am so, so glad to be a part of this.

Missing New England this time of year. Terribly.

Curing myself of my almost-daily peppermint mocha addiction.

Trying to decide on the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, or the Samsung Galaxy S3. I've got the iPhone 4 now but the screen is shattered. Decisions, decisions.

Realizing that a year ago today I was flying home from my summer in Alaska.

Designing a new blog layout.

Watching little miss Bella grow from a shy little puppy into one who's gonna give Sophie a run for her money.

Piecing together Mom's triangle quilt.

Flipping through Hancock's of Paducah's catalog, wishing I owned a fabric store.

Planning a 7-night Western Caribbean cruise in January. Or trying to anyways.

Waiting for my Shutterfly photos and my Alaska Instagram Blurb book to arrive in the mail. Not so patiently, I might add.

Drinking copious amounts of Oregon Chai tea. Iced, please.

Checking off goals from my 101 Project.

Participating in PostCrossing.

Discovering lovely new blogs that inspire me.

Writing and scheduling some blog posts ahead of time to help me with my time management stuff.

Thinking about handcrafting some Christmas gifts for friends this year.

Watching a friend's house being built via photo text messages.

Reading 'The Toss of A Lemon' by Padma Viswanathan.

Making lists. Lists on top of lists.

Joining other bloggers today (Ali Edwards and Elise Blaha to name a few) and sharing my 'right now' story.

The 101 Project: PostCrossing

One of the goals on my 101 Project was to send 5 post cards via PostCrossing. And, as you might have noticed, I've sent a few more. PostCrossing is super easy to use. You click on the 'Send a post card' link and they hook you up with an address to send it to. I've only received one so far (see below) but for every card you send, you get one in return. Eventually I'd like to collect one from each country. But we'll see how that goes.

{This post card was sent to me by Chen who lives over in China.}

I Miss September

Growing up in New England and now living in Tennessee, makes me feel kinda cheated when it comes to Autumn. I LIVE for sweatshirt weather. Where are the cool, crisp mornings? Not here, that's for damn sure! Although I checked the weather and the low on Sunday is supposed to be 39. Now that's what I'm talking about. It's kinda hard to enjoy Pumpkin Spice lattes when it's 80 degrees out.

I miss the color change. All the reds and oranges and yellows. Fall in New England is almost too beautiful to look at. Here, it's green-yellow-brown-dead.

I miss jumping around in a pile of leaves and taking walks through the woods. They have that lovely damp earthy smell.

I miss hot chocolate and hot apple cider. The crock pots come out of hiding and it's all soups and stews. Chicken pot pie and cobblers.

I miss apple picking and bonfires. Mittens and thick socks.

I miss it all.

Mini Album #1: Cape Cod In July

Mom and I went home to Cape Cod in July to see the family (both of us) and to hang out with friends, drink and just be up to the usual shenanigans (me). I knew I wanted to make a mini album of this trip so I brought along a freezer size Ziploc bag and stored all of the stuff I picked up in it. (Receipts, business cards, paper coffee cozies, hotel room cards, etc)

Here is the bare bones of the album. I still have to print all my photos, insert a few more items from my trip and do my journaling. I've been trying to get this posted for a week or so but Blogger is being a douche (sorry, mom) and keep changing my photos to portrait instead of landscape. Anyone know how to change this?

I signed up for Shutterfly and have 50 free prints waiting for me so once those arrive in the mail, I'll get to work and take all new photos of everything. And perhaps Blogger won't be so... well, you know.

(A complete list of materials used will be added to the final post.)

Shop Update: Mug Rugs

Mug rugs. You need one. Trust me.

365: August

I can't believe it's September already. August was a little hectic for me. A few third shifts at work and starting back full time, a shitty breakup, plenty of shopping, good food, and getting ready to go back to school kept me busy. I also posted some items to Etsy and crafted a few things.

September means more homework, spiced pumpkin lattes, the near end of my allergy season *sneezecoughwheezehack*, overtime at work and gearing up for the holiday season. (Anyone else doing the December Daily?)

If you'd like to follow along on your own 365 journey, head over to ShutterCal. It's the website I use and it's super user friendly.
